Brussels Airport Lounges: Complete Guide to Every Lounge at BRU (2026)
Half five in the morning. My flight to Dubai departs in three hours, but I'm already sitting with a fresh espresso and a warm croissant in The Loft on Pier A. Outside I can see the first planes taking off in the early morning light. No crowds, no stress, no hunting for a power socket amongst hundreds of other passengers. This is why I use airport lounges at Brussels Airport, not for the luxury, but for the peace and quiet.
Honestly, I used to be sceptical about lounges. Paying to wait? Seemed like nonsense to me. Until I once had a massive delay and had to spend six hours between the gates. Since then I've thought differently about it. And with the right card or membership, you don't even have to pay for it.
Brussels Airport now has a decent selection of lounges. Some are absolutely worth it, others are disappointing. I've visited them all and share my honest experiences here, including how to get free access.
All Lounges at Brussels Airport in 2026: The Overview
Let me start with a reality check: Brussels Airport is no Dubai or Singapore. We don't have spectacular lounges with swimming pools or bedrooms here. But what we do have is solid and, with the right expectations, perfectly fine. The airport currently has five publicly accessible lounges, spread across the two piers.
Most travellers only know The Loft, because it's accessible with Priority Pass. But there's more. The Diamond Lounge offers a more exclusive experience, the 51 Lounge is aimed at business travellers in a hurry, and the Star Alliance Lounge is finally a serious option for frequent flyers again after the 2025 renovation.
What strikes me: the quality varies enormously depending on the time of day. Early in the morning the lounges are quiet and pleasant. Around 10 o'clock, when the big wave of flights to Southern Europe departs, it gets busy everywhere. My tip: plan your lounge visit around those peak moments.
The Loft (Pier A & Pier B): The Priority Pass Option
The Loft is by far the most visited lounge at BRU, simply because it's the only one that accepts Priority Pass. There are two locations: one on Pier A (non-Schengen) and one on Pier B (Schengen). I have a clear preference for Pier A.
